Applications for warehouse processes automation
 Picking Cart System - The system automates the picking operations in a warehouse. More than 50 "intelligent" carts handled by human operators are used in the warehouse for collecting the items for each order received from customers or distributors. Each cart is equiped with a TabletPC device with Barcode readers connected through wireless LAN to a server application (called BridgeServer). The software on the cart terminals offers real time information to the human operator:
- warehouse map and position of cart in the warehouse
- highlights the locations in the warehouse that must be picked for current order, information about these location
- route optimization
- checking of the picked items (the picked item's bar code is scanned and checked in real time so the operator cannot go wrong)
- content of the current order processed, status of the order
- notification sounds (at rack completion, errors, etc)
- and other useful information for the operator.
The BridgeServer application manages all the carts in the field and provides also the interface with the general ERP system of the company .
Both software applications, the client running on the carts and the Bridge Server, were developed by Intercode and proved their efficiency and reliability in production, being used with success for more that one year so far .
Customer: Triumph International Co, Japan branch. - Daito warehouse (Triumph International is the worldwide known German lingerie maker).
Triumph International Japan plans to extend the number of carts used, and also required a new version of the software with new features.
Warehouse Stock-take System - an application used for periodical checking of existing stock in warehouses. The current implementation of this system at Triumph International (Japan) uses currently 40 Pocket PC's with Windows CE as clients, but the server supports much more. The devices have embedded BarCode reader , and use wireless LAN to communicate with the server application.
Some of the features of this system:
- counting , recounting operations , highlights discrepancy with logical stock
- management of large amount of data
- assigning of zones, rows to human operators
- real time status of stock-take operations (on server)
- multilingual - curently english and japanese
Store Stock-take System - Based on the Warehouse version, we developed a lighter version of the Stocktake application, for use in stores or boutiques. The server software can run on a Handheld PC or laptop. The client software runs on the same PockedPC's with BarCode Reader and wireless PC card.
Web applications
Loyalty Points and CRM application - Web based application for managing customer’s loyalty points , as well as customer claims. The application is fully integrated with the web site and the e-comerce system of the company.
This application has to parts: one for the customers and one for the company CRM officers.
The customers can:
- register as loyalty program members
- manage own profile
- view the history of the e-comerce purchases, phone orders, the points received and used
- view the history of the returned products and the points lost
- raise claims related to purchases
- view the status of raised claims
The CRM officers can:
- view the history of the purchases and the points received by customers
- view the history of the returned products and the points lost by customers
- view the history of customers claims
- handle claims and notify customer
- view sales realted reports:
- a top of best/worst sold products in a period of time
- a top of best buyers in a period of time
- a top of most returned products, etc
